The “Pro Release”™ Performance grip is modeled after our very popular Reverse Taper - Full Release™ product line. The new grip was designed with input from mutiple Tour players testing the prototype throughout Europe and the US during the 2007 Tour season.
The Tour player focus group came back and said, “We’d like a few more options with respect to the shaft end of the grip”.
They love the smaller diameter at the top of the Full Release™ grip - it’s designed to fit much better in one’s fingers which reduces tension, and on the shaft end, they wanted this a little thinner to provide the flexibility to build up the shaft end with grip tape and match their own unique grip size preferences and allow a later release.”
The new “Pro Release”™ grip is designed to provide better performance for low & mid handicap and also reduce "getting stuck" for amateur golfers. In addition, due to the new grip’s smaller diameter, it provides another benefit for players with smaller hands, such as ladies and juniors.
