Feel Golf’s Walker-Cooper Wins Her First Tour Event
LPGA Phenom and Feel Golf Staff Member Wins by Two Shots at the Florida Hospital Futures Golf Classic
March 2003 (Monterey, California) – Feel Golf Company staff member and LPGA player Lee Ann Walker-Cooper won her first professional tournament at the Florida Hospital Futures Golf Classic in Sebring, Florida on Friday, March 28th. Currently competing on both the LPGA and Futures Golf Tours, Walker-Cooper fired rounds of 70, 72 and 69 to win the tournament by two shots. Walker-Cooper joined the Feel Golf staff at the beginning of the golf season, and currently uses the 56 and 52 degree gun metal wedges in addition to carrying the Feel bag.
"All of the members of our Feel Golf team are elated about Lee Ann's championship," said Lee Miller, CEO of Feel Golf. "Not only is Lee Ann an invaluable asset to our Feel Golf staff, she also serves as a symbol of the determination and talent our organization was founded upon."
Utilizing Feel wedges since October of 2002, Walker-Cooper has since fallen in love with the clubs, agreeing to carry Feel bags this year on both tours. Known as a player who rarely changes equipment, Walker-Cooper switched immediate to the "The Fastest Growing Wedges on Tour" following a few practice rounds with the clubs. "Changing to Feel wedges has been the best equipment decision I've made," said Walker-Cooper. "I love these wedges--I feel like I can get up and down from anywhere."
Along with Walker-Cooper's performance, recent Feel addition Lori Atsedes finished the Florida event in 7th place. In addition to carrying the Feel bag, Atsedes currently uses Feel wedges as well as the newly launched Feel driver that is quickly becoming a tour favorite.
Launched in 1985, Feel Golf has grown from a once tiny club manufacturer into a cutting-edge competitor. Utilizing testing knowledge and input from the world's best golfers, CEO Lee Miller has been able to produce the most player-sensitive clubs in golf, and in the process secured top player endorsements as well as glowing industry reviews. The company is based in Monterey, California, home of the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links.
